Auto Body (Limited enrollment of 10)
An introductory course in basic auto body repair. Techniques covered in­clude: metal straightening, sanding, body filler use, and basic paint spray­ing. An emphasis on safety and proper tool use is covered. All projects need to be approved by the instructor. Students are responsible for all materials needed for their projects.

Auto Mechanics (Limited enrollment of 10)
This program is for everyone who drives an automobile and would like an understanding of auto maintenance, upkeep, and repairs. Learn what goes on underneath that hood. All projects need to be approved by the instructor. Students are responsible for all materials needed for their projects.

Small Engine Maintenance/Repair (Limited enrollment of 10)
This course is designed to address basic small engine operation. Topics covered: two and four cycle small engine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Students are encouraged to bring in their own equipment to troubleshoot and repair as you learn. Lawnmowers, roto-tillers, weed wack­ers, and snow blowers are welcome.

Advanced Small Engine Repair (Limited enrollment of 8)
This course is designed for students who have taken the Small Engine Repair course and wish to gain additional proficiency in the small engine repair field.  Students will perform a variety of repairs and are also encouraged to bring in their own equipment to work on as you learn.

Outreach Training Program (10 hour OSHA General Industry)
This course provides general industry workers a basic knowledge of the safety require­ments in a general industry work environment.  It will teach you a general awareness of recognizing and preventing hazards relating to the general industry. The course is taught by an authorized OSHA instructor. The student will receive an OSHA 10 hour General Industry card upon successful completion of the course.

Basic Welding (Limited enrollment of 10)
A course in (SMAW) Arc Welding and oxyacetylene cutting. Students will learn how to safely weld with the ARC welding process and properly use an oxyacetylene torch. Please bring a pair of welding gloves.

Advanced Welding (Limited enrollment of 10)
A course in GMAW (MIG) and GTAW (TIG) welding is for the recreational welder or the industrial fabricator. Students must have taken a basic weld­ing course or have work experience. Practice in fundamental shop weld­ing in all of the AWS positions will be supplemented by 20 minute black board sessions. The successful candidate will be able to select and setup arc welding equipment, perform maintenance and new fabrication weld­ing, and complete final weld inspection.   Please bring a pair of welding gloves.

Basic Metal Fabrication
Students will learn the safe use of metal fabrication equipment, such as shears, press brakes, drill presses & various types of metal saws.   While utilizing their welding skills, students will learn how to take raw materials and form them into useful items that they can use at home.  The students are required to bring in a project idea to work on with the instructor.  Prerequisite:  Basic Welding skills are required.  All proj­ects need to be approved by the instructor.  Students are responsible for all materials needed for their projects.

Basic Blueprint Reading for Welders
In this course students will begin with a review of measurements including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions, converting from fraction to decimal and back to fraction.  Once the student has a firm grasp of related math and measuring techniques we will continue with the “alphabet of lines”, title block location and details along with welding symbols and other print symbols.  Students will then take their newly acquired skills into the welding lab where they will construct several projects found in the textbook.

Beginner Woodworking (Limited enrollment of 10)
Have you always wanted to learn techniques used by master craftsmen to create beautiful pieces of furniture? This project oriented program in wood includes instruction in hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment.
