Need help finding a job? Technology has changed the rules of job hunting. The techniques that you used to find your last job may be of little or no value now. This workshop will help you get a jump start on the competition in the job market. It will cover job search topics such as: resume writing, interviewing assistance and professional letter writing.

Small businesses are the backbone of the American Economy. This course will serve as a roadmap for the entrepreneur who wants to start his or her own business. Learn everything that you always wanted to know about starting and running a small business in this thorough but interesting and enjoyable course. We will cover the A-B-C’s of starting your own business. From analyzing the viability of your business idea to writing a business plan, to financing, marketing, record keeping, tax obligations, understanding business economics and working smart to make your small business grow. Creative Writing
Do you like to write for pleasure? Tap into your inner muse with creative writing. Learn a variety of tips and techniques for writing poetry and prose, fiction and non-fiction in a writing workshop setting. The writing process will be emphasized.

Writing Workshop
Do you have a pile of poems, short stories, or random thoughts? Do something with them! Writing workshop will focus on helping you finish those pieces through reader-response feedback and turn them into publishable fiction and non-fiction.

MOTORCYCLE RIDER EDUCATION COURSES
The below courses are being offered at Southeastern Technical Institute by: Training Wheels of NE, Inc.
Learn to Ride a Motorcycle- Basic Rider Course (BRC)
The BRC is designed for the person who has little or no knowledge of riding and would like to have the basic skills of riding as well as receive their MA Motorcycle License by successfully completing the course. Students who successfully complete the BRC will receive their Massachusetts motorcycle license mailed to them without having to go take the road test at the RMV.
Topics covered are: challenge of motorcycling, motorcycle controls, rider & motorcycle preparation, basic riding skills, street strategies, advanced turning & braking techniques, special riding situations, dangers of impaired riding, straight line riding, turning, shifting & stopping, and evasive maneuvers.
Motorcycles are provided. Loaner helmets are available to students without their own (DOT approved).
Students must attend all classroom and on-cycle sessions and pass the required evaluation to graduate from this course. The student will choose one class between Group A’s schedule or Group B’s schedule to be held over one weekend.

Advanced Motorcycle Rider Course-Experienced Rider Course (ERC)
The ERC is designed for motorcyclists with at least 3000 miles and at least one season of riding experience. The ERC is a terrific way to work on your existing skills and bring you to the next level of your riding capability. The ERC is taught over a l day, 7 hour class. Students who successfully complete the ERC will receive their MA Motorcycle License mailed to them without having to go take the road test at the RMV. Students must use their own motorcycles, which must be properly insured, registered and inspected and pass an instructor’s pre-ride check. A copy of the pre-ride check will be mailed to students before the course.
Topics covered are: rider and motorcycle preparation, advanced street riding strategies, traction management, advanced cornering, braking & swerving techniques, danger of impaired riding and a review of basic skills. Students must attend the entire session and pass the required evaluation to graduate from this course.
