Curriculum:
Medical Terminology
Anatomy & Physiology I & II
Medical Billing
1. Intro to Medical Coding
2. Medical Coding 1  ICD-9
3. Medical Coding 2  CPT-4
4. Medical Ethics and Law
Pharmacology
Typing/Intro to Microsoft Office
Medical Transcription

Medical Coding classes must be taken in order as listed 1 through 4.  It is strongly suggested that the other courses be taken in the order listed.

Students can challenge out of Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology, and/or Typing/Intro to Microsoft Office if they have documentation of prior knowledge and pass the final exam in the subject.

The series of courses can be taken at your own schedule, one, two, or three courses per semester. When the complete series of courses are complete the student will receive a certificate and be able to sit for the certification exam.

Students will have the option of following a Medical Coding/Billing Pathway or elect to take courses without certification.
